Join us in an online discussion of the first volume of Emil Ferris' debut graphic novel, My Favorite Thing is Monsters. Set in Chicago in the 1960's, My Favorite Thing is Monsters is framed as the journal of a 10-year-old girl. She navigates feelings of: isolation from her peers, her love for art and horror, and upset at the murder of her neighbor who survived the Holocaust only to be shot at home. This graphic novel does contain adult and sensitive material so reader's discretion is advised.
The graphic novel can be accessed through Hoopla @ https://www.hoopladigital.com/title/11968342
